Orbel began as a private reference guide and has since become an openly accessible nutritional catalogue for men who want documented information without marketing claims. Every entry is revised on a quarterly schedule.

Origin

How the catalogue came to be.

Orbel emerged from a straightforward need: a consistent, non-commercial point of reference for men navigating daily supplementation. Existing resources tended toward promotional language, obscured ingredient origins behind proprietary blend designations, or lacked any documented sourcing chain. The catalogue was built to address these gaps directly.

The initial scope covered twelve mineral categories and four adaptogen families common in men's nutritional practice. Over successive revision cycles, the range expanded to include whole-food vitamin complexes, amino acid profiles, and concentrated botanical extracts. Each addition follows the same review process as the founding entries.

The catalogue is maintained from the editorial office at Florianigasse 56, Vienna. Reviews are conducted quarterly, with revision notes archived and made available on request.

Editorial Principles

Four standards the catalogue holds without exception.

No Proprietary Blend Designations

Every active ingredient listed in the Orbel catalogue is identified individually by botanical or chemical name, preparation form, and documented origin. Entries that cannot be fully disclosed are excluded from the catalogue until documentation is available.

Documented Supply Chain

Sourcing entries are cross-referenced against supplier documentation. Where a full chain-of-custody record is unavailable, the entry is flagged with a sourcing status note. Preference is given to suppliers whose facilities operate under food-grade processing standards with accessible certification records.

Independent Batch Verification

Formulations referenced in the catalogue are assessed against independent third-party batch verification records, including certificates of composition. Entries are not published based on manufacturer-provided data alone.

No Outcome Claims

The catalogue documents ingredient profiles. It does not make claims about personal outcomes, specific results, or individual experiences. Nutrient role descriptions follow the established positions of recognised nutritional bodies and are clearly attributed.

Why transparency is the only standard that holds.

There is a particular kind of opacity that has become standard practice in the nutritional supplement industry: the proprietary blend. On a label, it looks like a name — "Performance Matrix", "Vitality Complex" — followed by a total weight. What it conceals is the individual composition. A reader cannot determine how much of any single ingredient they are receiving, or whether the ratios have been adjusted between batches.

Orbel operates from the opposite position. The catalogue was built on the premise that any nutritional reference worth consulting must be fully open at the ingredient level. This means individual botanical names, preparation forms, and origin documentation — not composite brand terms.

The reasoning is straightforward. A man following a consistent daily nutrition routine needs to know what he is consuming, in what quantity, and from what source. Without that information, consistency is nominal: each batch may differ, each supplier change goes unrecorded, and any attempt to cross-reference against published nutritional research becomes impossible.
